There are NO defects of any kind and there is NO restoration. This porcelain figural group was produced in Germany by Sitzendorf in the 1930s. It is signed with blue crown and the letter "S". It is made in the style of renowned Dresden porcelain manufacturers of the past. The group measures 14 1/2 inches high, 13 3/4 inches long and 8 3/4 inches deep.
The group depicts a beautiful woman in Colonial dress riding a dapple grey stallion. There is a gentleman adjusting the lady's foot in the stirrup. The porcelain is finely modeled with excellent detail. The reins on the horse are delicate, the details of the couple's costumes are elaborate and there are tiny applied flowers scattered all over the base. It is beautifully hand painted in vibrant colors. This group is wonderful to look at from all angles there is so much to see and enjoy. The Post Office requires this.
