The sculpture is mounted on its porcelain base. It comes with a wooden base that is rectangular and has a brass name tag that says "Expensive Hobby and Al Dunning".

It includes a picture box with a Styrofoam molded insert. The listing includes the Certificate of Authenticity. This has been displayed and carefully maintained in a curio cabinet since it was delivered to me in March of 2000. The photos show the model for sale in this listing.

Expensive Hobby is a dun quarter horse with dorsal stripe and a star. The tack and clothing on the rider look authentic. The Certificate of Authenticity says. Expensive Hobby and Al Dunning. Incredible speed, power and agility characterize Expensive Hobby, a celebrated American Quarter Horse reining champion ridden by the talented Al Dunning. In 1979, Expensive Hobby won world titles in the AQHA World Show in both cow horse and reining. In 1980, the pair earned one of the highest scores ever awarded n the All American Quarter Horse Congress Open Reining Championship. With meticulous attention to detail, McMillian depicts Expensive Hobby powerfully driving his hindquarters into the dirt for a sliding stop, one of reining's most dynamic movements.

Crafted in fine porcelain, hand painted and fired, this piece makes a lovely addition to any room. A hardwood base and brass plaque complete this beautiful presentation.
