Wonderful Htf Josef Originals Holiday In England In Riding Outfit Doll Figurine
This beautiful young lady in her amazing and very rich brown and gold riding outfit is in class of her own. Brown is a color so seldom used in porcelain figurines of any kind which makes her a real standout. She is part of a hard to come by set in the Josefs collection, just one of 5 girls in total each one holidaying in a different country, or perhaps is the same young girl travelling around and dressing up in her hosting country national costume, or as the case maybe for this lovely young lady dressed to impress in her amazing riding outfit is on her way to enjoy (or endure) one of the most favorite activities of the British upper crust in the hopes to meet a special beau, preferably with some kind of title, as she is likely an American heiress on her voyage to Europe after she has been "presented" officially to society as a ready to be courted young lady. Excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no crazing, she appears to have just come out of her box...
All the colors are bright and strong and the browns and gold highlights are so very rich. Measures 5-3/4 in height, incised on the bottom with the Josef Originals signature, has a small Japan label and her Josef originals label on the side of her dress. This is a very nice set to collect, specially since there are only a few to get and it could prove to be a bit of a fun challenge, as mentioned above, they are hard to come by.
