From a beautiful collection of Royal Copenhagen porcelain at. The Jutland horse is a draft horse breed originating in Denmark, named after the Jutland peninsula which forms the western part of the country.
Usually chestnut they are a compact, muscular breed known for their calm and willing temperament, it was originally developed for use in agriculture. Windswept from Royal Copenhagen is a wonderful example of this Horse. Modelled by Lauritz Jensen in 1912 and retired in 1963. Marked and Dated to base 1961. Measures 20 cm high x 31 cm nose to tail.
