" The model number "HN 2532 is hand-painted next to the printed marks. Chance was the celebrated sculptor for Royal Doulton, specializing in farm-themed figural and horse models introduced in the late 1930s. The white porcelain sculpture depicts a mare and her foal standing on a textured base with green, brown, and yellow glazes. The mare has grey dappling visible on her coat.

The foal is finished in a bright ochre glaze. They are posed closely together leaving the viewer with a sense of love and security. 8.50"L x 3.75"W x 5.00H.
