Hertwig & Co Old Mark, Porcelain WOMAN Equestrian Figurine, Hunting, Horse

  
Germany Figurine (later known as Katzhutte). Old Mark, Green Cat and House--dates it to 1914-45. Stamped on the bottom B78. This is of a very rare WOMAN Equestrian in traditional English Riding/Hunting Dressage with the horse show jumping.

The paint and detail on her face is just beautiful. I have spent many hours researching and I can find no other piece that is a woman on horse figurine. I believe that she is very special. That being said, it does look like she has had a repair to one of her feet--I will let you judge for yourself, but the stirrup paint does not match the other side and although I cannot see a break, it does look like that foot has been repaired at some point. There are no other chips, cracks, or breaks.

Measures 7 1/4" long, is 6 1/2" high and is 2 1/4 high. Most of the items that I sell are antique or vintage as as such they do show signs of patina, use, and age.

That only adds to the character that so many collectors desire. If there are any major issues or defects, I try to describe them to the best of my ability and as accurately as possible.
