Dresden CINDERELLA, COACH, COACHMAN, and 2 HORSES with LACE PORCELAIN FIGURINE #6065. Measures 11" Long x 7.5" Tall x 4.5 Wide. The piece is subtitled "BEFORE THE STROKE OF MIDNIGHT". Antique or Vintage, made around 1930-40, Before WWII. An exquisite example of the Rococo Style, made by Dresden in (former) East Germany. Cinderella is Stepping down from her splendid coach, driven by a uniformed driver. Cinderella's dress is made from the lace-porcelain that Dresden is so well-known for - lots of ruffles and layers, in a creamy white. The coachman is wearing his formal attire -cobalt blue jacket with porcelain lace trim and black knickers. There is a young lady attendant sitting inside the coach, holding a bouquet of flowers and wearing a fancy dress also, wonderful detail, but Cinderella takes the spotlight. Cinderella is carrying a beautiful bouquet of porcelain flowers, which are repeated as trim around the surface of the base. A lot of relief and raised trim-work in the Coach - flourishes, trim, gorgeous contour, the horses draping blankets, adorned with gilded flowers and vines, the brown cords made into reins and bridle, held by the coachman/driver. The windows and openings to make it more lifelike and allows more dimension. The gold cherub and 4 spires atop the coach.... The colors are stunning and well dispersed over the white base, light horses, Cinderella's dress that contrasts beautifully against the brown-gold of the Coach. The base is a raised, short dome about 3/4 high at the center with a flat surface and encircled with raised gilded flourishes, delicate porcelain flowers. The entire piece is masterfully hand painted. Please look at the amazing control and talent the painter used to paint the faces, each element perfectly... The piece has a rich, gorgeous finish, very satiny. The contrast of colors and gilding from the softer lustrous finish is quite eye-catching and helps you see all the intricacies.

The underside is fortified with crossbeams of thick porcelain. The Maker's Mark is a GOLD CROWN, very intricate, and DRESDEN written below the crown. Engraved into the porcelain is the Model # 6065.

This is part of my Mother's collection of European Porcelain figurines, Dishes, crystal, paintings - she was an avid collector of a lot of art, mostly European and American, but some amazing pieces from Far East and South /Central America. Acquired as part all my parents' extensive travels. It has always been displayed behind glass. Now it is time for someone who is a collector and will love it to have. It's beautiful, but not my style... And I really need to downsize.... This will be wrapped very, very carefully - lots of bubble-wrap, padding and inner boxing..

It is based on size (dimensions) of box or pouch etc, its total weight, and, where it's being sent. That said, some items cannot be combined, based on fragility of item(s) and safe arrival to your location, ie - no bowling balls-crystal stemware combinations. (unless it's rare exception just mentioned). I will always try to offer your item(s) at lowest cost to you - as long as the item is safe from damage - unless you specify a more expensive or different choice. Or, if it is more convenient for you, and you are nearby, I can meet you in a public place, once paid.
