Up for sale is a rare and harder to find Lladro fine Spain porcelain figure featuring a pegasus stallion and foal rearing from the clouds. No detail is left out and the amazing ability of Lladro artists shine through in this creation. This figure was originally released back in 1994 and production was stopped in 2003 with only 1,500 being produced by the original creator Joan Coderch. When this piece was released the following was noted by Lladro: Nothing like a new challenge for artists at the City of Porcelain, and though the winged horse Pegasus from Greek mythology may have fluttered many beautiful imaginings through our minds, this figure captures the emotional moment when the young colt, following its mother's example, first takes to flight. Also, this piece was marked down a bit due to it having a line from just past then under the stallion's groin going through the cloud and up onto his hip (see provided pictures).
The felt protective disks are missing on two of the smaller portions of the bottom cloud though the original are still present on the larger portion. Replacing the protective pads would be a super easy and quick fix. Also, included is the original box though it is beaten up and has some dirt present on the outer portion.Finding one of the pieces available for sale is rare and even more so with the wooden presentation display and shipper box. Please review all pictures since those are part of the description of this lovely creation from some of the world's finest porcelain artists.
