Over the next few decades their products became highly regarded, due largely to the efforts and talent of Ens' two sons, Eduard and Karl. 1899 Karl Ens (pater) left the company together with his sons and founded Porzellanfabrik Karl Ens which was widely known for the quality and artistry of its work. Rather than producing dinnerware and other utilitarian objects, Karl Ens focused on the production of exquisite, ornamental objects which were highly prized by those lucky enough to afford them.
