VINTAGE & RARE CAPODIMONTE PORCELAIN FIGURINE OF A FARRIER SHOEING A GRAY HORSE BY ARTIST GIUSEPPE CAPPE IN 1961. Beautiful porcelain figurine by Capodimonte.

This piece was done by Capodimonte's artist & designer Giuseppe Cappe in 1961. Considered one of if not the best artist Capodimonte had under employment. The base has the 1961 date as well as G.

The piece is quite remarkable with a great deal of detail. The horses demeanor, stance, and general body condition is expressed subperbly by Cappe.

There are 4 white chickens running around and a grass covered hay cart. The shafts are lying on the ground and the wheels are painted with a high metallic silver.

The farrier stands at the back of the horse with one of the horse's feet resting across his leg as he begins clinching the new nails used to hold the new shoes on. The farrier's stance and outfit perfectly represent how this is done everyday.

From the farrier's apron to the clinching pliers in his hands. Colors are in earth tones and has a matte finish which is perfect.

EXCELLENT CONDITION- NO BREAKS, CHIPS OR CRACKS SEEN- PLEASE REVIEW ALL PICTURES TO CONFIRM CONDITION. Excellent size to display easily in your home or office. If you collect Capodimonte's or Giuseppe Cappe pieces this rare piece is a must have. Add it to your collection today!
